School officials said Mac Dre's popularization of the word "thizz," which is street slang for the drug ecstasy, was the reason the rapper's image was banned from the school. Other phrases and brands on the banned include "eight ball," "Joe Camel," "Nor Cal," "Rolling Hard," "Sol Beer," "south pole" "vato loco" and others.

Given the bad feelings stirred up at the funeral, Kelly's Mission Rock has cancelled the hip-hop party it had scheduled for tonight in Mac Dre's honor, out of fears of retaliatory violence. Their attorney says, "There's too much baggage connected with the funeral and the reputation. Kelly's is not going to become a magnet for trouble." Kelly's itself is already in trouble with the city, and there's talk that they'll lose their entertainment license next month because of other hip-hop-related fights that have broken out after their concerts.
