Ludacris started as a DJ at a radio station in Atlanta. It was here that Ludacris worked his rhymes on the mic, got the 411 on the music industry and became known throughout the Atlanta area. Eventually, Ludacris leaned toward a career as an MC rather than as a radio disc jockey.

Ludacris grew up with old-school music influences that fueled his desire to pursue a career behind the mic. At age 12, he signed up with a Chicago-based outfit called the Loudmouth Hooligans. As a member of this auspiciously named group, Ludicrous honed his rhyming skills and live performances. He took part in every open mic session he could get his hand on.

In additiion to their recording careers, Ludacris and Nick Cannon have made quite a name for themselves in the world of film. After critically acclaimed performances in "Crash" and "Bobby" respectively, Luda and Cannon will both take part in "Ball Don't Lie".
