Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is a newly formed electro-symphonic power metal band led by Italian musician Luca Turilli, known for his work in the band Rhapsody of Fire (formerly known as Rhapsody). Luca Turilli's name was added to the "Dreamquest" title to avoid confusion with a little-known French band. Turilli developed the band after many years of work with Rhapsody of Fire and his solo album trilogy. Turilli plans to utilize the band to focus on his ability on the keyboard, as his previous two projects mainly demonstrated his talent on the guitar.

Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is the fulfillment of a dream that Luca has had in mind for many years and he is looking forward to the opportunity to perform Dreamquest material in a live forum as soon as possible. The music on Lost Horizons combines powerful metal instrumentation with angelic, operatic, female vocals to create a sound that might best be described as 'Symphonic Electro-Metal'. The first single "Virus," is a prime example of the majestic musical flavor that Dreamquest is made of, while the operatic "Sospiro Divino" showcases the boundless possibilities presented by this exciting new band. Although favorable comparisons to popular acts are inevitable, make no mistake: Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is a fresh and unique experience.
Founders of what is known to be Hollywood Metal, the Italian band Rhapsody and its main members Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli have once again delivered one hell of an epic. Sounding like the most bombastic Carl Orff material, especially the impressive choir combined with tons of orchestral arrangements set the tone for what could easily become the soundtrack for an unreleased Lord Of The Rings sequel. Once again Renaissance and Celtic elements are used to illustrate the band’s fantasy themes whilst none other than the world famous actor Christopher Lee lends his incredible doomy voice for the narration. With Lee having a deep baritone voice he felt he should ... have sung on this album rather than be restricted as a narrator. So in December last year both Christopher Lee and the band teamed up again and re-recorded "The Magic Of The Wizard' Dream," this time as a duet and with the help of the Cologne string orchestra. With Lee's incredible knowledge of no fewer than twelve languages, the song was recorded in English, German, French and Italian.
