On March 21, 2006, the record label Varèse Sarabande released the original television soundtrack for Lost's first season. The soundtrack included select full-length versions of the most popular themes of the season and the main title, which was composed by series creator J.J. Abrams. Varèse Sarabande released a soundtrack featuring music from the second season of Lost on October 3, 2006.[27]

Executive producer Carlton Cuse told the Hollywood Reporter that he and Damon Lindelof hope to produce up to five more episodes for the current season of Lost. This brings the Season Four episode total to thirteen, only three episodes short of the sixteen-episode season that was initially planned.

Lost Dom, whose character drowned last season, will have to get used to living separate from his girlfriend and "Lost" star, Evangeline Lilly, whose character is alive and well. Could this move possibly mean that there's trouble on the home front for the two? Probably not. It just means that the man needs a new gig.

S4E04: Eggtown It has been impossible to escape Lost. The show's dedicated advertising team has made sure that they cram their new season as far down your throat as humanly possible, with ads on television, billboards, websites and even a preview in Screenvision, a pre-movie theater advertisement show. If you haven't heard about the new season, you must live under a rock. And all of that prep work has done its job, as over 18 million viewers tuned in last week to see what is going to happen to their favorite castaways.

Lost increased its viewing audience from 16 million in season 1 to 23 million in season 2. Ths is partly credited to the release of the season 1 DVD 2 weeks before the season 2 premier, which gave new viewers the opportunity to catch up on the first season.
Fans sure missed "Lost," and were ready for the fourth season premiere on ABC Thursday night. The show ripped through its competition picking up a 9.5 rating/14 share according to Fast National Ratings ..
