One of the main theories of Lost has been the idea of time travel. This idea first crept into Lost fan consciousness when Sayid set up the transceiver to try to get a signal off the island in Episode 2x13, The Long Con.

The “Missing Pieces” cover things from the Lost story line that you did not witness or see in the normal course of a series episode. Some of them expose a relationship that you didn’t know about, some give background on a character that is new, and some just give you the willies. For example, the episode entitled “Room 23” is quite spooky - I definitely recommend it . “So it Begins” is pretty good ... and gives you a chill and lends some authority to the Jacob/Christian debate that is raging on in another post.

In April 2006, Disney announced that Lost would be available for free online in streaming format, with advertising, on ABC's website, as part of a two-month experiment of future distribution strategies. The trial, which ran from May to June 2006, caused a stir among network affiliates who were afraid of being cut out of advertising revenue. The streaming of Lost episodes direct from ABC's website was only available to viewers in the United States due to international licensing agreements.[32][33]
