LL Cool J will begin a tour of the United States in July and will be one of the featured acts on the world-renowned Essence music festival on July 1 in Houston. Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest is one of the major events lined up for the superstar outside of the US. It will be LL's first ever performance in Jamaica.

Rapper LL Cool J has lashed out at his record label's boss. Def Jam, LL's record label, is run by fellow rap artist Jay-Z who this month relaunched his own recording career.
LL Cool J indicated earlier this week that he may no longer record for Def Jam Records since his contract is up, but he stressed that there were no hard feelings. more >
