Liv Tyler is an American actress known for her roles of Grace Stamper in Armageddon and Arwen in The Lord of the Rings She was born Liv Rundgren at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York on July 1, 1977. Liv is the first daughter of Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler and Bebe Buell, a model. Liv actually grew up understanding that rock star Todd Rundgren was her biological father until she found out that Steve Tyler’s daughter Mia looked like a twin of Liv. After studying in a number of schools she finally graduated in 1995 from York Prep in New York City.

Liv Tyler was down-under in New Zealand filming her latest movie “Lord of the Rings”, directed by Peter Jackson (“Frighteners”). This series was one of the biggest movies to be released in Hollywood lately. Huge amounts of time, effort, money and resources have already gone into the project. Thousands of New Zealand volunteers have had their photos and measurements taken, in the hope that they will be cast as extras in the movie. The fairytale books, upon which the movie is based, are among the most popular books of all time.

Marvel Studios announced today that Hollywood starlet Liv Tyler will join the cast of the highly-anticipated, new big screen adaptation of The Incredible Hulk. Tyler has signed on to play Betty Ross, the longtime love interest of Dr. Bruce Banner aka The Hulk. She joins two-time Academy Award® nominee Edward Norton who has already been cast in the title role. The film, which is being directed by Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2, Unleashed), and distributed by Universal Pictures, is scheduled to smash into theaters on June 13, 2008.

Liv Tyler made an auspicious film debut with the leading role in Silent Fall, directed by Bruce Beresford. After another lead in Empire Records, Tyler portrayed a waitress in a local diner in Heavy, a favorite at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival. Tyler went on to shine in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty, Inventing The Abbotts, Armageddon and Robert Altman's Cookie's Fortune. She recently reunited with Altman to star in the critically acclaimed Dr. T and the Women with Richard Gere. For her role in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Tyler and the rest of the principal cast were nominated for Outstanding Performance by the Cast of a Theatrical Motion Picture by the Screen Actors Guild.
