Lisa Ryder stars as Beka Valentine, commander of the salvage ship, Eureka Maru, and first officer of the Andromeda Ascendant. Ryder had amassed an impressive list of credits before joining the cast of Andromeda. She starred in a number of feature films and television series, including Total Recall 2070, PSI Factor, and Jason X. Ryder ... appeared in a recurring role on the Canadian television program The Newsroom, and starred as the series lead on Forever Knight.
