Jane Fonda, Lindsay's on-screen grandmother in Georgia Rule, recalled in an interview how Lindsay was late in getting to the set one day, and an irritated Fonda said to her, "Get your a*s over here!" Later, Lindsay ran and told someone, "Barbarella just yelled at me!" Fonda has laughed about this incident and claims that as far as the movie goes, Lindsay did a great job and was "heartbreaking" in her role. (edit)

This year, Lindsay stars alongside Jared Leto in Chapter 27, a drama about the man who murdered John Lennon. Other 2007 endeavors for Lindsay include appearances in the films Speechless, Georgia Rule and A Woman of No Importance. On May 11, 2007, Georgia Rule was released in which Lohan starred alongside Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda. The film — whose production received adverse publicity when a letter from a studio executive to Lohan criticizing her professionalism was made public — received mostly negative reviews. It grossed US$6.7 million at the box office in its opening weekend and to date has grossed over US$22 million worldwide.
