It looks like tennis ace Lindsay Davenport is getting a Walkman phone named after herself - how cool is that? The phone is named "Lindsay" after the American tennis star, and should be announced sometime this year. The phone is just 14mm thick, and features a slider form factor with a 2-megapixel camera and glowing lights along the side of the phone. Sadly, the phone is GSM only and won't have 3G. It will be available in three colors, including green.

Former world number one tennis player Lindsay Davenport has won her first match in almost a year at the Bali Open in Indonesia. Davenport beat fifth-seed Eleni Daniilidou in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Lindsay Davenport's 14-year professional tennis career included more than 50 pro tournament wins and three major titles. Tall and steady, with a power game suited to grass and hard courts, Davenport eventually developed into something of a grande dame in a sport often dominated by teens and sudden sensations. Davenport played her first tournament as a pro in 1993, when she herself was just 16. Three years later won the gold medal at the Atlanta Summer Olympics of 1996. She won all three of her career Grand Slam titles in the period 1998 through 2000: the U.S. Open in 1998, Wimbledon in 1999, and the Australian Open in 2000. Lindsay Davenport is done with dabbling in tennis. She's planning a full-fledged comeback in 2008, with her eyes on at least three Grand Slam tournaments, along with the Fed Cup and, possibly, the Beijing Olympics.
