Limp Bizkit's current members are vocalist Fred Durst, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto (Rivers' cousin), and Latvian turntablist/sampler player DJ Lethal. The band's guitarist Wes Borland departed in 2001 following the release of their first three albums to be replaced by Mike Smith for the band's fourth release Results May Vary. Wes rejoined for The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) only to quit once again in 2006 to work with other projects Black Light Burns and From First to Last. It's unknown if Wes will rejoin Limp Bizkit in 2007 for The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2).
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary Limp Bizkit is an American rapcore band often credited with the popularization of the genre sometimes dubbed nu-metal. The band is currently signed to Geffen Records and was previously signed to Interscope Records; both labels are part of the Universal Music Group. Their albums have sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

Nu metal poster boys Limp Bizkit practically defined the genre, blending heavy skatecore riffs with turntable breakdowns and a deliberately immature and angry sensibility. Lead singer Fred Durst cites his duel high school interests in skateboarding and rap music as both inspiration for the band and a constant source of unpopularity for him in high school. The way Durst puts it, skating was for burnouts and rap "black music" was still new and scary in his Florida suburb. Durst met drummer Sam Rivers in Jacksonville and the two found they shared musical ambitions. After trying out several guitarists, they recruited the talented and flamboyant Wes Borland, who fans often consider a key part of the Limp Bizkit sound. Borland's thick riffs and exotic stage makeup often performing in Day Of the Dead corpse paint or opaque black contacts were just what the band was looking for and, with DJ Lethal, they attracted interest from nu metal elder statesmen Korn.
Limp Bizkit - Buy this fabric poster at AllPosters.com In 1999, Limp Bizkit released their follow-up Significant Other, whose first single "Nookie" was a runaway hit. The success of this single ... would spawn the first of many scandals they would face. It was rumored radio stations were being paid to play "Nookie" multiple times. "Nookie" was so popular it was played three times in a row on certain days. Some radio DJ's claim Universal (the parent company of Interscope) was paying fifty dollars to programming directors everytime "Nookie" was played. This they claimed cause intense pressure to play the song. Limp Bizkit and Interscope have repeatedly denied this story however and there is no written evidence to suggest any of it occurred.

Contrary to popular belief, Limp Bizkit is not named for the fraternity game 'limp biscuit'. They are really named after the way a friend of the band described his brain after getting high. Limp Bizkit was formed in 1994 by Durst, Rivers, and Otto. They toured in and around their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. About this time, they became friends with rap music's House of Pain, which included DJ Lethal. Soon after House of Pain broke up, DJ Lethal joined the band.

Limp Bizkit's first greatest hits compilation, titled Greatest Hitz, was released on November 8, 2005. It contained material from the band's first four albums (the track The Truth was released in some countries). An additional DVD, which featured music videos for most of their major hits, was released in conjunction with the CD. The album and DVD were barely promoted by the band's label, even to the point where Durst claimed he was being forced to do interviews about a compilation he wasn't very excited about.[12] The promotion did not pay off, with the album debuting at number 47.
