All Limewire claims were dismissed and the ruling cannot be appealed or overturned. Limewire had its chance and blew it. This is a major blow for the filesharing network and shows a lack of legal experience and preparation.

On price fixing, Lynch ruled that though cartel-like behaviour "may have harmed competition generally", Limewire failed to show it specifically had suffered, as its allegations under the Sherman Act required. The Sherman Act is the cornerstone of US antitrust laws.

Limewire should either shut down or make its music cost some money. Its wrong to steal so why would u want to steal music. Its no differen than stealing a car or a dvd or a handbag.

The new cleaned up Java interface in version 4.1 of Limewire looks way better than earlier versions. You know it's made for the business of exchanging files and nothing distracts from that goal.
