Award-winning actress and comedienne Lily Tomlin has agreed to come to Santa Rosa and do a benefit performance at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts for Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa Breast Care Center. The benefit performance will be September 27th.

Lily Tomlin, one of America’s foremost comediennes, has starred in television, theater, motion pictures, video and even animation. Throughout her extraordinary career, Tomlin has received numerous awards, including six Emmys, two Tony awards, a Grammy for her comedy album, This is a Recording, and two Peabody awards. In 2003, she was honored with the Kennedy Center's prestigious Mark Twain Prize for Humor.

Tomlin originally planned to become a physician but grew to love theatre so much while studying at Wayne State University that she soon traded in her microscope for a microphone. She was honored in Washington D.C. in 2003 with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor Award. Tomlin with her long list of successes, honors and awards considers inducting Rambo into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame as one of the greatest honors she has experienced.
