LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Globally recognized and acclaimed rock musician Lenny Kravitz is set to hit the road today on his exclusive "Get on the Bus with the Love Revolution" club tour. Featuring only 9 select markets, the outing will kick off this evening at Santa Monica, California's Civic Center. The tour will culminate at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom and be followed the following week by a slew of high profile television performances and interviews on Good Morning America, The Late Show With David Letterman, Live With Regis and Kelly, MTV's TRL and BET's 106th & Park to kick off the release of his 8th studio album It Is Time For A Love Revolution.

Lenny Kravitz has announced a string of concerts in support of of his new album, It Is Time for a Love Revolution. The 14-track album hits stores on February 5th, 2008 and is the follow-up to his 2004 Gold album Baptism. The tour kicks off January 17th in Santa Monica, California. Born on May 25, 1964, in Manhattan to actress Roxie Roker and TV producer Sy Kravitz, rock and soul singer and multi-instrumentalist Lenny Kravitz grew up in Los Angeles and began performing in high school as Romeo Blue. He moved back to New York, where he scrapped his Prince-inspired Romeo image in favor of an early 70s retro look and sound. Kravitz burst onto the charts with his 1989 debut, Let Love Rule, led by the huge radio and MTV success of the title track.

Lenny Kravitz was taken to the hospital Tuesday and will postpone his upcoming European tour due to a bout of bronchitis. Kravitz was set to begin the tour this week. It was to run through the end of March, accompanying the release of his new album, "It Is Time for a Love Revolution."
