LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Building on the success of both LEGO Star Wars videogames, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. From the Trade Federation's "negotiations" with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace to the space battle above Endor in Return of the Jedi, The Complete Saga allows players to kick some brick through dozens of Story Mode levels.

Developed by the renowned UK programmers at Traveller's Tales, LEGO Star Wars chronicles the first three episodes of George Lucas' popular science-fiction trilogy from the perspective of everyday building blocks. Up to two players can participate in the game at once and are encouraged to utilize team-based tactics with a variety of multi-character parties. Prominent moments from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith serve as the game's backdrop for storytelling, while favorite personalities such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Jango Fett can be manipulated to advance your progress.

What makes LEGO Star Wars truly unique is that players will be in control of at least two characters at a time, and sometimes as many as six. Using a quick tap of the button, gamers can hop back and forth between anybody in their party -- be they Jedi, Rebel, Droid, or whatever -- and each of these archetypes play entirely different. So while Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi may be ideal for taking out large groups thanks to their jumping lightsaber attacks, only droids can access certain areas that allow you entry to the next section. Moreover, the standard blaster characters can mean the difference between life and death when fighting enemies from a distance and Traveller's Tales has done an excellent job of balancing things so that you'll have to rely on all these styles to succeed.

This curious blend of big-name brands tells the earlier parts of the Star Wars story in a version of films' universe that's been built from scratch with Lego parts and people. The game highlights the action of Episodes I through III (the more recent, prequel films); players take control of thoroughly Lego versions of heroes -- such as Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, and others -- to battle through action-oriented levels based on the films' settings, but constructed entirely with Lego blocks.
