Each level in Lego Star Wars loosely follows the various sequences from the Star Wars prequel films: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, with game play segments linked together by various cutscenes. There is no spoken dialogue; rather, the characters act out their parts using gestures and pantomime. The game begins with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn aboard the Trade Federation ship, and ends with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's duel on Mustafar. Scenes that did not become levels were "The Duel on Tatooine" and "Anakin's flight" from Episode I, "Bounty Hunter Pursuit", "Tusken Slaughter", and "Asteroid Field Chase" from Episode II, and "Boga Chase" and "Darth Sidous and Mace Windu duel" from Episode III.
As Lego versions of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul and more than 30 others, you run around levels modeled after scenes from the first three episodes of the "Star Wars" series, including the forthcoming "Revenge of the Sith." The controls are simple: You'll quickly master using your lightsaber or a blaster to reduce your Lego enemies to their component parts or employing the Force to build Lego structures from stray bricks. On the downside, you cannot control the camera that follows the action and the scene cuts can be jarring. Plus, spotty artificial intelligence can be frustrating, as sometimes your allies fight and sometimes they run off ledges -- though a second player can drop in or out at any point in the game.
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Building on the success of both LEGO Star Wars videogames, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. From the Trade Federation's "negotiations" with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace to the space battle above Endor in Return of the Jedi, The Complete Saga allows players to kick some brick through 36 Story Mode levels, including Episode II's newly added high-speed pursuit of bounty hunter Zam Wessell. Traveller's Tales has revamped levels from the original LEGO Star Wars to match the gameplay evolutions found in LEGO Star Wars II, and Prequel Trilogy characters can now be mixed and matched with those from the Original Trilogy -- more than 160 in all. Features include new playable characters, an upgraded character customizer, and new bonus levels.
