built 201 days ago
Building on the success of both LEGO® Star Wars™ “block-buster” videogames, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller’s Tales takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles, while ... adding new characters, new levels and new features. Players can build and battle this fall on the Wii™, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360™ videogame system from Microsoft. Traveller’s Tales is also creating an entirely new Nintendo DS™ version, developed brick by brick from the ground up.

Gamers can play as more than 30 of their favorite Star Wars characters through 18 levels, and experience the complete storyline of the first three movies in the Star Wars saga in a unique LEGO way. Jedi can use "the Force" to transform LEGO objects, in a world filled with humor and surprises. Additionally, players can enjoy a two-player cooperative play mode that lets a second player drop in and out of the action without interrupting gameplay.

Practically everything in Lego Star Wars comes out of the line of toys that Lego has been producing for several years now. Each character, from Jar Jar Binks to Yoda to the Anakin Skywalker of “Revenge of the Sith,” looks just like their mini-figure counterpart, right down to the classic Lego hands and painted on faces. The vehicles are ... straight out of the line of toys. You will see everything from STAPs (those droid army tanks) to the Republic Gun Ship to the Fett family’s Slave I. To put it simply, this game’s smooth animation and authentic-looking models makes it seem like the Legos are alive and actually participating in the Star Wars saga.

LEGOS: STAR WARS offers a simple yet effective control combination that can be done without being highly skilled with the D-pad. The look and feel of the science fiction backdrop isn't diminished at all by the presence of Lego's. In fact, the creators have blended the Lego characters and structures so well with the settings that the entire effect only assists in enhancing the entire game experience. Because the game is presented as Lego's, force can be manipulated to the player's advantage. When a character comes upon an area or door that seems impossible to penetrate, they can utilize the basic physics behind Lego's, demolish, and reconstruct structures in order to obtain entrance to new areas. A STAR WARS game wouldn't be complete without light-saber action.
