With just under 2 minutes remaining and trailing by 4 points Lebron James was fouled on a drive to the basket and went to the line. James, whose free throw shooting has been anything but impressive in the post season, including an airball last game, drained both clutch shots drawing his team to within two points of the Spurs.

Lebron James had become one of the best all round basketball players the world had ever seen. He is one of the best passers in the history of the game. Lebron James seems to have the ability to carry a blueprint of the court in his head, his speed and strength are above average. The only weak link in his game is the outside jumper but a couple of years in the NBA and that too will be taken care off.

There has never been a rookie in any sport (especially one just out of High School) that has generated the buzz that Lebron James has generated. He will be a great eventually but the hype is too overwhelming right now. Even if he scores 50 a game, wins the MVP, and leads the Cleveland Cavaliers to the championship he can't possible live up to the high expectations that have been placed on him.

LeBron James is the star guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association. James was a high school phenomenon; he skipped college to jump straight to the NBA, at the same time signing a $90 million endorsement deal with Phil Knight's Nike shoe company. Many wondered if James could live up to the public's intense expectations, but he did: during the 2003-04 season he had 20.9 points, 5.7 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game, and was voted Rookie of the Year for leading the Cavaliers to a 35-47 season (the previous year they were 17-65). He became a popular and marketable player and joined Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade as one of the NBA's big attractions. In 2006 the Cavaliers made their first playoff appearance since 1998, and James signed a contract extension worth $60 million that would keep him with the Cavaliers through the 2009-10 season. James played on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team in Athens, and on the U.S. team at the 2006 World Championships.
