The park faces the archipelago of the Pontine Islands, where famous resorts like Ponza and Ventotene, are located.

The second half of the season began with Lazio beating Bari and Torino respectively and drawing with Parma at the Tardini. They then travelled to Milan to face A.C., Lazio were defeated by two penalties, this meant that A.C. Milan overtook Lazio for the second spot and saw Lazio four points behind Juventus. Goal winners from Salas over Udinese and Nedved at Lecce would take Lazio back into second place but the gap was always of four points. Lazio would soon find themselves six points behind after drawing with Inter at the olympic stadium, and things would get even worst when they dropped nine points behind with an unbelievable defeat to Verona. With only eight matches left in the league things were looking really bad for Lazio.

According to Calciomercato, it seems that Lazio would have to fight off Napoli for his services, which is odd considering there was a report last week saying that Napoli wanted Delio Rossi for next season. Why Mazzari would leave Samp, I’m not sure, but considering that Rimini’s Leonardo Acori is acting like he’s never heard of Lazio (despite the claims that he was next in line for the coaching job), I guess you have to take all of these reports with a meteorite of salt.
