The information being referred to in Appendix A is therefore very genuine and reflects the detailed membership, dues, internal structural change, and expenses associated with one Chicago chapter of the Latin Kings. There are many such chapters or sets, which exist non-contiguously not only within the City of Chicago, but the entire Chicago metropolitan area extending deep into the midwestern United States.

One complaint charges two members of the Latin Kings with a violent robbery conspiracy during which they twice assaulted another member of the Latin Kings and stole approximately $4,700 in cash. A second complaint charges a member with credit card fraud based on his possession of credit card numbers and social security numbers belonging to others.

In Madrid, there have been dozens of criminal cases tied to Latin Kings. In Barcelona, authorities said some members have criminal records, but so far the group, and particularly the Ecuadoreans, appear not to have organized for criminal purposes.

The street-youth organization known as the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation has been targeted for repression from the police and slander by the media. The most recent incident came Nov. 15 in Brooklyn, N.Y., when police arrested 24 members for "unlawful assembly."
