Though all of the markets in Latin America are different, they do share some common recent traits. Many of those countries are newly politically stable, their currencies have improved from levels of prior years, infrastructures are being updated and there is increasing market transparency.

Assistants are usually responsible for whole classes in Latin America. Terms and conditions vary in the seven different countries. Undergraduates studying Spanish at university and graduates of any discipline with Spanish A-level, Higher Grade or equivalent may apply. Teaching experience or an interest in teaching as a career are required for some posts.
There are many languages historically and currently spoken in Latin America: Aymara, Creole/Patois, Guarani, Tupi, Tupinamba, Mapudungun, Mayan, Nahuatl, Portuguese, Quechua, Spanish, Sranan, and many others. In Europe, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France are all considered Latin countries, which is where the term comes from. But in general terms roughly two thirds of Latin Americans speak Spanish and one third Portuguese.
