MTECH D900C - QUAD CORE - When you need absolutely the fastest most extreme gaming laptop made today. Core 2 Extreme CPU or Quad Core, SATA 3 Hard Drives in conjunction with Solid State Hard Drives that are more than 100 times faster than most hard disk drives, SLI Video, RAID 0,1,5 are just for starters. If you need a laptop that can replace your desktop PC without sacrificing power or features, you need this D900C. It is pretty much a guarantee your friends don't own anything this powerful. Waste your money on an Alienware or some other twice as expensive laptop if you wish, but you wont find one that is faster than this laptop. You will find laptops more expensive, but not faster.
No laptop lasts forever, but many live long lives through upgrades or replacements. Those life-extenders can easily fall apart... if there's a stuck or jammed screw that will make hardware replacement a tricky, or even damaging, proposition. CNET blogger Michael Horowitz recommends pulling out a tiny screwdriver and testing out the screws on any new laptop, especially on the oft-upgraded memory trays, hard drive holders and other devices. While obviously not a tip for those uncomfortable with DIY hardware replacement, experienced laptop owners might be within their rights to request a replacement or repair on a new unit if they find jammed screws, as the useful life of their new system would be effectively shortened.
