This is wrong on so many different levels, but Lamps Plus is now selling a night light that comes in the shape of a frosty brew. Traditionally night lights are used for children who are afraid of the dark, so beer isn't really an appropriate theme for kids, but regardless the $15 night light will remind the little tykes who is in the next room over waiting with the belt. more

In his paper, Dr Voronov will introduce various coating technologies and compare the emission and power loss at 185nm. He will present the parameters of the new generation of ozone-generating lamps and will demonstrate a simple model to allow practical calculation of the ozone concentration in an air flow for emission wavelengths of 185nm and 254nm. The combination of “Ozone and UV radiation” in a single lamp opens up new areas of application in air treatment and exhaust air treatment, for example in the destruction of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and in applications in “Advanced Oxidation”.

In 1972, the International LWML provided funding to buy LAMP’s first airplane. Support and volunteer teams came from church groups all over North America. LAMP expanded and a Pastor Pilot was called to serve across the Northern Territories. In 1985, LAMP was incorporated in the US and the ministry expanded to Alaska. Fifteen years later, the US organization began operating separately from the Canadian organization. What the enemy meant for evil, God has used for good. Today there are two organizations, each with different areas of focus.

As of July 12, 2005, the State of New York now prohibits all mercury-containing lamps from being discarded. No exemptions are allowed except for households and small businesses with less than 100 employees and with less than 15 lamps per month. The new law primarily affects generators of low-mercury or "green end cap" lamps. These lamps are not mercury free and must be recycled or managed by an authorized facility in accordance with the Mercury-Added Consumer Products Law. All businesses and households are strongly encouraged to recycle their mercury-containing lamps.
