Niagara USA’s Lake Region is situated along the Great Lake of Ontario – offering trophy freshwater sportfishing, romantic bed & breakfast getaways and super outdoor experiences that will encourage the whole family to get back to nature. It’s the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle – whether it’s to have a cold beverage overlooking the scenic harbors of Wilson and Olcott or picnicking in one of five parks that cover 30 miles of shoreline. There are some rather unique festivals to enjoy, too. Olcott’s Pirate Festival is a popular summer gathering with a swashbuckling flavor and the Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival celebrates the sports and customs of a time gone by, complete with men in kilts. Agriculture is huge along the lake – from apple farms to wineries. Murphy Orchards, is both a working farm and a recognized Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Site.

When thinking of a purchase of property in the Lakes Region one of the important factors missed by some buyers are the average debt of the lakes. Good resources to check the lake levels are Debt maps of NH Lakes and Ponds provided by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. another good resource is the NH dept of sentimental services, that monitors the Current Lake Winnipesaukee levels at Weirs Beach and Bizer's Lake levels who are a group that monitor the average lake levels since 1984.
