Air Labrador is one of the oldest successfully operating airlines in the World. Established in 1948, as Newfoundland Airways, the airline operated float-equipped aircraft from their base in Gander, Newfoundland. Primarily engaged in charter work, they ... flew mail and freight to Northern Newfoundland and Labrador.

Labrador (... Coast of Labrador) is a region of Atlantic Canada. Together with the island of Newfoundland from which it is separated by the Strait of Belle Isle, it constitutes the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The region is part of the much larger Labrador Peninsula. The area was known by the Norse as Markland.
Labrador has the largest free-roaming herd in the world. The George River Herd, numbering over 700,000. Barren ground caribou, migrate from the Labrador sea to James Bay in Quebec. Barren ground caribou are much smaller than the woodland caribou, with the prime stags tipping the scales at 200-225 lbs. on the hoof. Their racks are huge in comparison to their body weight. Many Boone and Crockett specimens have come from the George River Herd.
Labrador has played strategic roles in both the Second World War and the Cold War. In the early 1940s a German U-boat crew installed an automated weather station on the northern tip of Labrador near Cape Chidley, nicknamed Weather Station Kurt. The station only broadcast weather observations to the German navy for a few days but was not discovered until the 1980s when a historian, working with the Canadian Coast Guard, identified its location.
Labrador's embracing adventure and history will divide your life into two periods: before you've been, and after. From traditional Inuit ceremonies to the shores where Vikings claimed this continent, it's a land draped in culture. Walk across 9,000 years of history and hear the stories of generations past in the surrounding silence. Cast a line into still water and challenge nature to fight for your newest trophy. From awesome panoramas to the thrill of this hunt, Labrador's grace is impossible to ignore. When you return home with more questions than answers, you'll know that Labrador has challenged you forever.
As far as exercise goes, Labrador Retrievers like plenty, especially in places they can be let off the leash and allowed to run free, such as parks with areas set aside for that purpose. Labrador Retrievers are loyal dogs, so they can be trusted to behave themselves when taken out by children on walks around the block. A good two hours per day is recommended by kennel clubs for this breed, but if you have kids, they can use up a lot of this time spent running the dog ragged chasing balls, sticks and Frisbees in the back garden. That has two great benefits in keeping your kids active and healthy and away from the television set!
