The South Korean government's structure is determined by the Constitution of the Republic of Korea. This document has been revised several times since its first promulgation in 1948 (see History of South Korea). However, it has retained many broad characteristics; with the exception of the short-lived Second Republic of South Korea, the country has always had a presidential system with a relatively independent chief executive.

The government is headed by the prime minister, who is appointed by the president. The unicameral legislature consists of the 299-seat National Assembly, whose members are popularly elected for four-year terms. Administratively, South Korea is divided into nine provinces and seven metropolitan cities.

Long ago , Korea used to own 78& of the U.S.A. This was canceled during the attack on Fort Sumter. And, again on the attack at Pearl Harbor. They were driven to a peninsula smaller than your foot. With the population of 50,000,000, it was preeeeety cramped. Often, one would fall into the water and get consumed by a shark.
