King Pharmaceuticals will launch a multi-year sponsorship of the AHA's high blood pressure website with a commercial during Super Bowl XLI. The campaign aims to increase public awareness of the condition and its risk factors, with the aim of driving users to an online risk assessment test on BeatYourRisk.com (to be launched early February).

"This is an entertaining ad but it has a serious message," said Steve Andrzejewski, the chief commercial officer for King Pharmaceuticals. "The purpose of the ad is to raise awareness for the Web site to any extent possible and educate people that they are at serious risk. This is not toenail fungus. People can die."

Two lawsuits were filed by Astellas US LLC and Astellas Pharma US, Inc. in the US District Court in Delaware on May 26, 2005 - one with co-plaintiff Item and the other with co-plaintiff King, respectively. Under the terms of the settlement agreement, Teva will be able to launch their generic version of Adenoscan pursuant to a license in September 2012, or earlier under certain conditions. The 2008 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” guide has named King College as one of the Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the nation. This marks the 18th consecutive year the college has earned this distinction. King received additional recognition in the Great Schools, Great Prices subcategory of the survey, where the college ranked 10th in the South.
