Kidnapping: Spanish Police

One day after the journalist was at Praia da Luz, for the first time, on June 27, the Spanish Police arrested a couple, at Sotogrande, because of their presumed relation with the kidnapping (of Madeleine). They are the Italian Danilo Chenello, 61 years old, and the Portuguese Aurora Vaz Pereira, 54 years. Both have been in jail for aggression to their own daughter and her boyfriend for more than ten years”, according to “El Mundo” story.

Late Saturday night, police tracked down Curtis Dean Anderson, 39, a San Jose resident with previous convictions for kidnapping and weapons violations, and took him into custody. Anderson once lived in Vallejo, but has no known connections to the girl.

No arrests have been made in connection with the kidnapping and the fire. Oakland police and fire investigators and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were treating the blaze as arson because of how quickly it progressed and because there was evidence of an accelerant inside the store, authorities said.
