The more ostentatious side of Key West is situated around Duval Street, referred to as “the strip” of the city. This tourist Mecca resembles Mardi Gras on a nightly basis. Sunsets, frozen drinks and drag shows are just the beginning to Key West’s lively nightlife. Duval Street is ... home to many of the island’s finest restaurants, from laid-back burger joints to eloquent restaurants serving outrageous ethnic dishes.

Depending upon the time of year you visit the Keys, you may even catch one of its interesting festivals such as Hemingway Days or Fantasy Fest. Hemingway Days is a tribute to the life and times of one time Key West resident Ernest Hemingway. During the festival the island is inundated with gray bearded gentlemen vying to be the winner of the festival's Ernest Hemingway look alike contest.
