Any race with Kenny Wallace is a better race than one without him. His talent is skipped over because of his zaniness at times but the talent is there. Robert Yates isn’t putting on a play. He’s running a serious race team for himself and equally serious racer partners in the law firm of Newman-Haas and Lanigan. Go Herman go.

Kenny Wallace seemed to have setup problems as his front left wheel raised to the point where crew members and fans wondered if he'd flip his #36 St. Louis Cardinals clad modified as he excellerated in the corners. He finished 17th in the modified feature where Jeremy Payne of Cave City, AR, claimed the event win, and took the $1,000 winner's check and trophy home.

Kenny Wallace to run special scheme at Talladgea: Kenny Wallace is scheduled to drive the National Day of Prayer car #78 sponsored by Furniture Row for the Nextel Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. Wallace qualified 6th for the race. The 56th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 3, 2007. The theme for this year is "America, Unite in Prayer" The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America when the Continental Congress issued a proclamation setting aside a day of prayer in 1775. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May. For more information visit www.nationaldayofprayer.org In commemoration of the day, the #78 Furniture Row Chevy Monte Carlo will once again feature a red, white and blue paint scheme [same scheme as used in 2006], created by Sam Bass Design.
