For the last five 2004 NASCAR Busch Series races, whatever breaks veteran driver Kenny Wallace was getting were bad ones. That didn’t change Saturday afternoon when Wallace had to settle to an 18th place finish in the Pepsi 300 at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, TN.

In 1982, Kenny Wallace won the first race that he ever entered, "The Illinois Street Stock State Championship". St. Louis native Kenny Wallace will drive the car in a one-race deal with RCR. Clint Bowyer usually drives the No. 2, which is competing on a part-time basis this season. In addition to the Busch Series, Kenny Wallace had driven a few races in 2005 in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. He raced the #00 Aaron's Chevy in the Daytona 500 (Finish: 40th), the #78 Furniture Row Chevy in the 2nd Dover race of the year (Finish: 32nd). He drove the final two races in 2005 in the #97 Roush Racing Ford at Phoenix, for the suspended Kurt Busch, and finished 16th in a car which he didn't even know he would drive until that Sunday morning.

Kenny Wallace returned to the Busch Series in 1994 with FILMAR Racing. Over the next three years, they tallied five wins, 19 top-five finishes and 26 top-10 finishes in the Busch Series. In 1995, the team ran a 15-race Busch Series schedule and a limited Winston Cup effort in preparation for a full assault on the Winston Cup circuit in 1996 with backing from Square D.
