When she was 18 she found work on a few youth TV programs; and when she was 20 she was chosen to replace Denise Van Outen as co-host of "The Big Breakfast," a British morning show. The gig was short lived though, as controversy arose surrounding the model's intellect. A purported memo stating that "difficult" words should be kept out of the show's scripts for her was leaked, and the press quickly ran headlines about it. Upon seeing the story in the papers, Brook resigned to avoid any misconceptions about her mental capacity.
