Keel
built 514 days ago
The Keel is the main strength of any vessel, the fore and aft timber which is laid down first in building, and which takes all the frames that shape the boat. The lowest part of the hull used to give the ship greater control and stability. The purpose of which is to increase stability and hold the vessel to its course, providing balance, and as any sailor knows, allowing the craft to sail full.

Kell-billed Toucan The Keel-billed Toucan, known as the "bill bird"locally, is the national bird of Belize. The most obvious characteristic of the toucan is the huge yellow, orange, red, green and black bill. The toucan's bill is amazingly dextrous and allows the bird to feed on a variety of tropical forest fruits.

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 8 PRNewswire-USNewswire — Keel laying for the fifth tanker in Aker Philadelphia Shipyard's series of product tankers took place today in the yard's Building Dock. The event was particularly noteworthy in that for the first time in the build program, the initial module set in the dock for this vessel (Hull 009) was a complex engine room section of the keel, featuring sweeping curves and intricate outfitting. Previous vessels saw a less complex cargo section of the keel set first in the dock, but targeted efforts to advance production methods have resulted in an improved building sequence first achieved on Hull 009.

In addition to depicting elements not present in Keel's book, Pellington's movie ... leaves a great deal out, including unidentified flying objects. Keel spends pages and pages of ''Mothman Prophecies'' detailing the UFO sightings he says went hand-in-hand with the alleged Mothman appearances in Point Pleasant. He also refers repeatedly to mysterious ''men in black'' lurking in the town -- figures similar to those often cited in UFO lore and made famous in the Will Smith comedy.

The Keel-Cam is designed to fit into your existing speed transducer thru-hull fitting. Simply remove your speed transducer and replace it with the Keel-Cam. Connect camera to a 12VDC source, and video feed to wherever you decide to display it, and enjoy live underwater video immediately. The best part is no gear on deck or hanging over the side of the boat.
