Kazaa Media Desktop is vulnerable to a flaw that can allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code. The flaw is due to insufficient handling of corrupt responses to the automated ad download request. A remote attacker can inject a carefully crafted string into the add request response to overflow the buffer and cause a denial of service or exploit arbitrary code. From the Kazaa© Media Desktop Options control panel select the "Traffic" tab. The bottom setting controls virus scanning of shared folders. To enable virus scanning of shared folders simply remove the check mark.
