Kazaa Lite Resurrection (KLR) appeared almost immediately after Kazaa Lite development was stopped in August 2003. Early reports on US national television claimed the original developers were behind KLR... this is not the case. KLR is an updated version of the never released Kazaa Lite 2.3.4, with newer tools and extra functionality, and is maintained by FileSharingPlace.be - Home of Kazaa Lite Resurrection.

"He is using a hacked version of our code," Morris said. "That's a straightforward DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) violation."
