kathy griffin thumbnail.jpg Kathy Griffin's crusade to grace the cover of as many magazines as possible finally succeeded with her sharing the cover of the prestigious and widely-read Irish American magazine. While she may have failed to chart on Maxim's Hot 100 (or 1000, for that matter), Kathy made Irish American's Top 100. And they gave her an award, too. At the awards ceremony, "Irish for the Evening" Hilary Clinton snubbed Kathy, who subsequently creeped even herself out by exhibiting some very questionable stalker behavior as she walked uninvited into Clinton's photo ops.
Griffin began performing in the early 1980s with the Los Angeles improv comedy troupe, The Groundlings. She went on to perform stand-up comedy and teamed with fellow Groundlings alum Janeane Garofalo on the comedy act "Hot Cup of Talk,"[1] later the title of Griffin's 1998 solo HBO special. She did some acting, breaking into film with the supporting role of Connie in the horror movie The Unborn (1991), starring Brooke Adams.
Kathy Griffin at the Paramount with the Kens [H]ere is a little gossip…  Last time Kathy played the Paramount she stayed in the Governor’s Suite at the Stephen F. Austin InterContinental Hotel right next door to the theatre.  This year… the Driskill? the Four Seasons? the Stephen F. Austin again???  OK.   She handled her own travel and lodging this time around.  I can’t tell you where she is staying but I can tell you it is just bizarre.  Out of respect for her privacy while she is in town, I will wait to blog about it until after the show.   But let’s just say I am questioning Kathy’s ability to read a map…
