Kasey Kahne has been racing in multiple series for the majority of his life, but in 2004 he got the chance to join the Nextel Cup Series. He didn't win any races that year, but he did get the honor of being the Rookie of the Year. In 2005, Kahne came in first at one race, had five top 5s and eight top 10s. This car was raced for 160 laps on August 7, 2005 at the Allstate 400 race at the Brickyard. Everyone might remember that race as the one where Tony Stewart finally got his Indianapolis win, but no one should forget how Kahne finished close by in second place! Kahne led 39 laps that day, but Stewart led 44 and captured the victory.
With the exception of Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Greg Biffle was the most disappointing driver of the 2007 season. After winning the season finale at Homestead in November of 2006, many analysts felt as if Biffle had momentum on his side. Unfortunately, he slumped through the first half of the season, which raised questions regarding his future at Roush Fenway Racing. Due to sponsorship woes, many felt as if Biffle was the odd-man out at Roush Fenway. However, Roush officials have repeatedly affirmed that they want to lock Biffle into a long-term agreement. Biffle wants to see how the season plays out before he signs a contract extension.
June 2002 - Kasey Kahne, from Enumclaw, WA, the driver of the #98 Channellock/Robert Yates Racing/Ford Taurus, has a weekend off from the NASCAR Busch Series so he's heading home. In a tune up for the Jim Raper Memorial Super Dirt Cup he raced this past Friday night with the All-Stars at Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan and won the event. The following night he raced to a 6th place finish at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. Kasey is returning home this time to race the Dirt Cup on June 13, 14, 15 at Skagit Speedway in Alger, WA. It's been 3 years since Kasey has raced in this prestigious race so he's looking forward to putting his elbows up and slinging some clay at his home track. He will be driving the familiar #51 Phil Durst, DRC Indy Chassis, sprinter prepared by Willie Kahne.
Kasey Kahne 2006 Vitaminwater NASCAR Diecast Kasey Kahne's #9 Dodge had a new look for the Michigan race on June 18 where he got his fourth win of 2006. Featuring the movie "Click" which stars comedian Adam Sandler, this Action Performance Raced Version diecast is a replica of Kasey's car as it appeared after the race
Kasey Kahne joined NASCAR's Busch Series in 2002 as a member of Robert Yates Racing. Over the next two years of his Busch Series career, Kasey showed progress, but was still just an average driver. However, in 2004 Kasey's career really took off when he was tipped to replace Evernham Motorsports legendary driver Billy Elliott to drive the Dodge number nine. Kasey and his number nine car had 13 top five finishes and took home NASCAR's Rookie of the Year award. At the time, Kasey was driving for both the Busch Series and the Nextel Cup Series. Kasey won his first Nextel Cup race at the Richmond International Speedway in May of 2005.

UPDATE 4: The fact Kasey Kahne will drive a Budweiser-sponsored Dodge in 2008 is old news. What's interesting is that the #9 won't be red in every race. In fact, sometimes it may be blue. Sources close to negotiations told ESPN.com on Sunday that one of Kahne's current sponsors, likely Allstate, would serve as primary sponsor in "a couple of races." (Which races the blue car would run was not known.) That would be a significant move; Anheuser-Busch isn't apt to offer up the hood of its car to another sponsor. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has driven several different paint schemes during his eight full Nextel Cup seasons in the #8.
