It’s one of the few companies that have a sound for a trademark. When Karsten Solheim decided to take up golf as a sport, he, like most beginners, became very frustrated with the game. As an engineer he decided to try and improve things by improving the tools (the clubs) that were used. When the new clubs he designed met the little white ball, “ping” rang out. Thus was born the mark of the designer golf clubs now known as a PING!
