The team has an attractive logo and distinguishing nickname. The nickname of the team is ‘Royals' that has been named in order to honor the old Negro League team in Kansas City the Monarchs. The team ... has an attractive logo that is a Gold crown on top of a Blue Shield, inside the shield is a white interlocking KC. Underneath the shield, Royals is written in a blue script with an underscore. Royals definitely needed a boost after finishing 2005 season with a 106-loss record and they received the enthusiasm with a 16-9-2 record in the Cactus League. Though the games played during spring training doesn't hold much importance but it was a good start for the Royals.
