built 807 days ago
In the Julian calendar the average year has a length of 365.25 days. compared to the actual solar tropical year of 365.24219878 days. The calendar ... accumulates one day of error with respect to the solar year every 128 years. The calendar has a regular year of 365 days divided into 12 months, and a leap day is added every four years, making the average Julian year 365.25 days. The calendar was still used by some countries even in the 20th century, and is still used by many national Orthodox churches. The problem is that this calendar creates too many leap days, which means that it gains a day about every 128 years.
Years are counted from the Era of Creation, or Era Mundi, which corresponds to -3760 October 7 on the Julian proleptic calendar. Each year consists of twelve or thirteen months, with months consisting of 29 or 30 days. An intercalary month is introduced in years 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17, and 19 in a nineteen-year cycle of 235 lunations. The initial year of the calendar, A.M. (Anno Mundi) 1, is year 1 of the nineteen-year cycle.

The following table provides Julian calendar values for month-ends from January 2000 through December 2016. These numbers are used when diagnostically updating folios. Caution should be exercised when manually manipulating Julian date fields; generally this task is best done in conjunction with First Resort support staff.
Webster defines the Julian calendar as: the calendar as … yyyy is the four digit year of the date you wish to convert. mm is the 1 or 2 digit month of yyyy.
