Plagued with being called a heartthrob and a Golden Boy, British actor Jude Law managed to develop into a respected actor known for tackling challenging and often flawed characters. Though he struggled a bit early in his career to make a name for himself, Law finally burst onto the scene full force with his Oscar-nominated performance in “The Talented Mr. Ripley†(1999). From there, he was suddenly everywhere onscreen, playing a Russian sniper battling a Nazi sharpshooter during the Battle of Stalingrad in “Enemy at the Gates†(2001), a scarred assassin fond of photography in “Road to Perdition†(2002), and a Confederate soldier presumed dead and struggling to make in home in “Cold Mountain†(2003). Though he was often the subject of tabloid fodder – due in large part to his on-again, off-again relationship with starlet Sienna Miller – Law nonetheless maintained his composure – for the most part – on his way to becoming one of the top draws at the box office.

Actor Jude Law has expressed "sincere regret" over an affair with nanny Daisy Wright as he made a public apology to his fiancee, actress Sienna Miller. Law issued a statement after reports of his affair with Ms Wright, 26, who cared for one of his three children.

BEFORE she heads for London to start shooting her next movie, Lindsay Lohan is trying to make a new British friend - former Sienna Miller beau Jude Law. Lohan ended up with Law at The Box on Chrystie Street very late on both Friday and Saturday nights, sources say. Her whirlwind weekend started Friday with dinner at Nobu Next Door before she headed off with her mom, Dina, and former Marc Jacobs boy toy Jason Preston to Stereo, where she greeted her friend DJ AM. "She called Jude at 1 in the morning," said our spy, "and met him at The Box." The next night, Lohan hit Cipriani Downtown for dinner, stopped by Beatrice Inn, and met up later with Jude at The Box again - this time joined by Law's pals Sean Penn and Tim Robbins. "They are adoring one another's company," said one sly observer, who could not confirm or deny any "dating." Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, had no comment.

Extra credit: Law and Frost had three children together: sons Rafferty (b. 1996) and Rudy (b. 2002) and daughter Iris (b. 2000)... Law was in hot water in July of 2005 when his children's former nanny, Daisy Wright, told London newspapers of having an affair with Law during his engagement to Sienna Miller. Law and Miller ultimately ended their relationship in late 2006.

Sienna Miller doesn’t regret her romance with Jude Law - but wishes she had launched her Hollywood career before their relationship began. The Factory Girl star - who split up with the actor in 2005 after he admitted to having an affair with the family’s nanny - admits she still struggles to establish herself in the movie industry without the attachment of her ex-boyfriend’s name.
