[According to Bynum’s publicist] “After all is said and done, Juanita Bynum is an anointed woman of God, and called to be a voice to the nation. She is genuine in her relationship with God and understands it is impossible to maintain bitterness and love in the same heart…Dr. Bynum is treating these invitations as she does all others; an opportunity to minister to God’s people. Her acceptance of the invitations are in no way a step towards reconciliation.”

Famed televangelist Juanita Bynum met her minister husband, Thomas W. Weeks III, at an airport hotel to talk about reconciliation. According to police, the meeting ended with her husband choking, kicking, and stomping on her in the parking lot. And now, Weeks has turned himself in and is awaiting trial in September on charges of aggravated assault and making "terroristic threats." Why did he do it? Weeks said the devil made him.
