Jonny Lee Miller, who was once married to Angelina Jolie, was in town in support of his latest film, The Flying Scotsman. Guests were treated to a question and answer session with Miller following the screening of the film.

Angelina Jolie's ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller has pulled out of a gruelling 150 mile marathon across the Sahara desert. The British actor was set to run the Marathon des Sables, a seven day straight sprint across desert, for UK charity Mencap. Instead, he will be filming his new movie, the fittingly titled Marathon, in Los Angeles. A source said: "Jonny would have given the event some much-needed publicity so it was a real blow when he cancelled."

However it would be in 1996, with his drug-induced performance in the critically acclaimed hit, Trainspotting, that he would stun audiences worldwide while showcasing his creative range.

Jonathan Lee "Johnny" Miller was born on November 15, 1972 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England. At age seventeen, he left school to pursue an acting career. Miller got his big break when he appeared in Hackers with Angelina Jolie whom he married a year after the film was shot. In 1996, he took the lead role in the movie Trainspotting. It was in this film that he gained real notoriety, making people believe he was a Scottish actor because of his believable accent. In 1997, a year before his divorce with Jolie, Miller became involved in the creation and operation of Natural Nylon, a British film production company along with his friends and stars Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Ewan McGregor among others.

After a stint in EastEnders as Jonathan Hewitt, Miller got his big break in films with Hackers (1995), co-starring Angelina Jolie. In 1997, Miller was involved with the creation and operation of Natural Nylon along with friends Jude Law (whom he met in the National Youth Music Theatre), Sadie Frost, Ewan McGregor, Sean Pertwee, Damon Bryant and Bradley Adams. Natural Nylon folded in 2003. Aside from EastEnders he has appeared on television in the BBC's modernisation of The Canterbury Tales as Artie in The Pardoner's Tale and as Lord Byron in a BBC production about the life of the poet. He worked on the US television series Smith (CBS, Fall 2006). His first appearance on US Television was the 1996 miniseries Dead Man's Walk.
