Actor Jon Voight, estranged from daughter Angelina Jolie and son James Haven, told Regis and Kelly his plans to spend the holidays. While he has four grandchildren thanks to Angelina and Brad Pitt, he said he'll spend it as he's spent it in recent years, with grandnieces. Asked what he would do this Christmas, he listed all his brother's children's children, with no mention of his own.

Jonathon Voight (December 29, 1938) is an American actor born in Yonkers, New York to a Czech immigrant Elmer Voight and Barbara Voight. He is known to younger audiences as the father of actress, Angelina Jolie with whom he appeared in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Voight attended Archbishop Stepinac High School in nearby White Plains, New York where he developed an interest in acting. Following his graduation, he moved to New York City to pursue acting as a career.

Aside from a role in End Of The Game, directed by his Odessa File co-star Maximillian Schell, Voight did not act throughout the mid-Seventies. This was partly because he'd married again, to the part-Iroquois Marcheline Bertrand, with whom he had two children - James Haven and Angelina (later Ms Jolie). But there were ... no parts he felt to be "responsible". After Deliverance, he did try for the role of McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, but lost to Jack Nicholson (he was offered Love Story by way of recompense, but thought it too corny). Instead, as he would all his life, he dedicated much of his time to charity work. A journalist visitor to his home would later note the posters on his wall - Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King.

It was rumored that Angelina Jolie had called a truce with her estranged father, Jon Voight, when the actor was spotted at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC this weekend (where Angie is staying with Brad Pitt). But Us Weekly is reporting that a reunion did not occur. "It's all a mistake. They didn't see each other all weekend," says Voight's rep. Who thinks the famous mother-of-four should reconcile with her Dad? Hey, why not? After all, every family is coming together these days!

Voight married actress Lauri Peters in 1962 and they divorced in 1967. He remarried in 1971 to Marcheline Bertrand. They had two children, James Haven, and Angelina Jolie before divorcing in 1978. Voight's relationship with Angelina has been rocky. He has publicly pleaded with her to mend their relationship and get help for her problems. They are currently estranged.

According to a report at Canada.com Jewel is rumoured to be starring in a new movie with US actor Jon Voight. The movie, Sunrise, "is apparently a feel-good story about an adventurous group of students trying to find themselves." Apparently Jewel is a good friend of Jon Voight who is the father of the actress Angelina Jolie.
