Prior to the birth of their biological child, Jolie and Pitt travelled to Vietnam and adopted a little three year oldboy in March 2007. Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, had been abandoned at birth at a local hospital, where he was initially named Pham Quang Sang. Jolie told the press that the child's name, Pax, was chosen by her mother just before her death in 2007.

Here’s some exciting news from TMZ.com - Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt has officially been adopted. Of course, Angelina Jolie adopted him last year, but it had to be made official in both countries. It was approved in Vietnam, where Pax was first born, but it still needed to be approved back in the U.S. Yesterday, they went to L.A. County Children’s Court in Monterey Park, California. A judge finalized everything and now it’s official.

The boy's name is Pax Thien Jolie, born in November 2003, according to the orphanage where he has lived. His name means Peaceful Sky รข€“ Pax is peace in Latin and Thien is sky in Vietnamese.
