A lot of old people now are living active lives, thanks to the advances in medicine and the growing awareness for health and well-being which reached a certain maturity at that time. Whereas old people of old times spent their remaining days at home, providing wise counsel to their children’s families, old people nowadays are living their remaining years with a whole lot of activities. Thanks to old age communities, old people who can still live their lives actively are finding new opportunities for socializing.
2. Kid Rock -- Rocker Kid Rock
   Pamela Anderson is over the moon that Kid Rock has proposed to her, according to her publicist. Pam, 34, is set to tie the knot for the second time with 31-year-old Rock, real name Bob Ritchie, after he proposed on Thursday night outdoors in the Las Vegas desert. Publicist Marleah Leslie confirms that Rock gave Pammy a ring although no date has been set, adding, "She's elated." The couple began dating in April 2001 when they met backstage at VH1's diva salute to Aretha Franklin at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It will be the second marriage for the pneumatic blonde, who is locked in a nasty child custody battle over sons Brandon and Dylan with rocker Tommy Lee. Rock has a young son whom he raises with the help of his sister in northern Michigan, but he's never been married.
3. John Mellencamp
   John Mellencamp is a pure product of middle America. Through a combination of talent, vision and stubborn determination he became an authoritative rocker and adroit storyteller. His best songs – including “Pink Houses,” “Small Town” and “Rain on the Scarecrow” - symbolize the hopes, fears and basic decency of America’s heartland. 4. Elton John
   Elton John was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947, in Pinner, Middlesex, England, to a middle-class family. His love for music began at an early age. When he was only four years old, he followed his mother's advice and began taking piano lessons. His natural talent eventually shone through, and Dwight won a scholarship with the Royal Academy of Music at age 11.

   Best known from his guest appearances on guitar with local alt-rockers The Minority, Rick has his own solo material which he will be bringing to the first Clements Acoustic night of 2008! Expect “songs about the personal, the spiritual, the social and even (at times) the political.”
6. Petra -- John Schlitt
   According to the 5/23/03 newsletter which now should be available at JohnWSchlitt.com, the new Petra album will be titled "Jekyll and Hyde", and the title song will be made available to download on June 2. This is the rocker, folks!
7. John Mayer -- New York
   Mayer was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone (#1020) in February 2007, along with John Frusciante and Derek Trucks. He was named as one of the "New Guitar Gods," and the cover nicknamed him "Slowhand, Jr.," a reference to Eric Clapton.[33] Additionally, he was selected by the editors of Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2007 and was listed among artists and entertainers.[39]
8. John Raitt -- Roll Hall
   Raitt is three weeks into a yearlong world tour for a new CD, "Souls Alike." The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's 18th effort is a diverse mix of ballads and up-tempo rockers that reflect Raitt's love of country, blues, jazz, African, Celtic and Caribbean styles.
9. Pink Flamingos -- John Waters
   Guide Note:Pink Flamingos is a 1972 John Waters film. It is the story of Babs Johnson, who lives in a trailer with her mother, her son and her girlfriend. They are trying to hold onto their title of "The Filthiest People Alive".
10. Virgin -- St John
