John Leguizamo: War
built 653 days ago
John Leguizamo is "Mr. Wolf," the leader of a small group of military veterans who set out to rob a major bank in Pittsburgh. When things go awry, they're forced to take more than a dozen hostages from all walks of life, including a wealthy and powerful businessman's daughter. Suddenly, "Mr. Wolf" finds himself battling the police, the hostages and members of his own team while at the same time, fighting his own personal demons from the Iraq war and from his own war at home. Will he be sharp enough to hold it all together or lose control of the situation?

With the wavy, slicked hair, leather jacket and cunning smirk, Leguizamo is the source on looking suave. But it hardly stops there. You have to admire the effort he puts into his work. His one-man shows are hurricanes of physical prowess; in one night he will jump, throw himself on the floor, run, flip, and salsa dance up a storm. In fact, he once tore a hamstring warming up for a performance.

John Leguizamo: Yeah, the director is definitely there, keeping the story alive. He's there in the recording session, telling you the story, telling you what changed last night in the script—the script changes on a daily basis—and if it fits emotionally. He keeps you updated. The story is much more about letting moments play themselves out like [the late Warner Bros. animation artist] Chuck Jones and less about the topical joke, especially with Blue Sky [Animation].
