In the fall of 2000, Jessica Biel attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. But after ending her fall semester in 2002, she left before completing her degree to concentrate on acting. Later that year, she appeared in The Rules of Attraction, and a string of successful movies followed: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Cellular (2004) with Kim Basinger and her then-boyfriend Chris Evans, and Blade: Trinity (2004) with Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds.

Jessica is a high school honor student and enjoys dancing and singing. It comes as no surprise that she has a life outside of acting by going to college at Tufts University, and toyed with the idea of going to UCLA. Jessica ... is an amateur photographer, enjoys rollerblading, collects vintage glasses in her spare time.

After her Gear shoot causes a stir with Aaron Spelling, Biel's role on 7th Heaven is scaled down. Between guest spots on the show, Biel appears in the Freddie Prinze Jr. comedy Summer Catch and the drama The Rules of Attraction. During this time, she studies for three semesters at Tufts University in Massachusetts.
