Jessica Biel Since childhood, Jessica Biel enjoyed performing in public. As a young girl, she was seen in theatrical productions of "Annie," "Beauty and the Beast," "Anything Goes" and "The Sound of Music." Spotted by an agent when she competed in a modeling competition in 1994, Biel became a teen model and soon appeared in television commercials, including one for Pringles potato chips.
Jessica Biel's bone structure is so perfect her cheekbones could have been chiseled by Michelangelo himself. She has a radiant beauty that will carry on for years to come. There's little wonder why Esquire named her the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2005.

As a child, Jessica Biel, whose nickname is Jessie, dreamed of becoming a surgeon and once cut open a dead squirrel's brain. At age nine, Jessie acted on stage for regional productions of "The Invisible People," "Annie," "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Sound of Music."

Biel initially trained to become a vocalist with the hope of performing in musical theater and appeared in several musicals at an early age including The Sound of Music, Annie, Beauty and the Beast and Anything Goes. It was not until Biel attended the International Modeling and Talent Association Convention in Los Angeles in 1994 when her career started to take off as a fashion model.
Biel plays an American divorcee, Larita Huntington, who travels to the South of France and marries young wealthy Englishman John Whittaker, played by Ben Barnes, on the spur of the moment. The couple return to England to face his unapproving family, including his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Whittaker, played by Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.
