Although he really wanted to drive, Jeremy paid his dues by working at every job around the race shop. His drive and determination eventually paid off, and after half of a season with the Sadlers, they gave him a Late Model car to race. Coupled with his duties at the shop, Mayfield kept busy in every process needed to get the car ready to race week in and week out – fundamental skills that he still uses today to help him better understand his race car.

Jeremy has always been able to get the most out of his equipment with his solid driving skills. He can bring it to the front when the car will handle and even when he doesn't have enough car to win he still brings it home in one piece.
